Today, we are learning about the anchient civilizations of Mezo-america. The area of Mezo-america encompasses the region of modern day Guatamala, costa rica, el salvador, and the Yucatan peninsula of mexico. Mezo-america is a term used to describe this region before Western contact. The Mezo-american civilizations that are particularly worth of note are the Olmech, The Toltech, The maya, the Aztech, and the Incans.
