On April 9th, 1969, the British had their fun with the Concorde prototype. On March 2nd, the French had their first flight in the Concorde and of the type itself. It has been 40 years since these flights. For 27 years, the Concorde has established itself as the premier SST of the world since it's conception. Now, 13 years later, the Concorde is scattered about in museiums all over the world.
To the aircrews, the engineers, and all involved with Concorde: cheers on your brainchild's 40th!
cheers
